Talking

I love looking up at trees and taking pictures. The photo that inspired this quilt featured the tops of three trees with a small amount of sky separating their branches. I imagined that they were talking to each other and made a drawing based on my picture. I was experimenting with creating images by appliqueing strips of fabric in a yearlong quilt making class I took with Heidi Parkes and I used that technique to transform my drawing into a quilt.
